It doesnt matter which way the coolant is flowing. And there is no magical store of cold water in the engine. Once its up to operating temp it's all hot water.

Yup +1 use either upper or lower heater hose for feed and recirc, or use either throttle body lines. It all works the same.

It takes 15 minutes to drill and tap the housing and you have a leak proof fitting that is less cluttered, has less failure points, and the hoses are easier to route.

I agree with therealnighthogs statement as well. But most people dont like to have to drill and tap things, so they take the (easy way out). I personallt think its easiest to pull the 2 throttle body coolant lines off the coolant piece behind the block and just run hose from there to the turbo.

Drilling and tapping doesnt bother me, i have to do it often at work. But, i wasnt using the tb coolant lines anyway.
