so the only headwork you did was a valve angle grind? 3 or 5? well and obviously the valve springs. Or did you port it as well? Good to hear it made such a difference making me slightly happier with my decision. Only thing i wish i did, is since i ended up doing a valve grind was going with some supertech valves. ah well too late now.

oh ya, i keep forgetting that the rods will prob not hold up at over 8K with that much power. I honestly don't know how they are still holding up

Ok guys Im done with the stock motor.. next week Im start to build the bottom end. Im starting to have some head lift at 18lbs so this is the limit on the stock head bolts , I think the stock rod can hold 600whp( with some ARP bolts) for some time if the car its tuned well. Im going to use Greddy head studs(or cosworth) with CP pistons manley rods ACL race bearings etc.... Im just missing the head gasket! I do not want to put the stock VE HG on this build I think is ok for 550 whp but not for what Im looking now...any help will be very aprecieted here.I will also change the radiator from a 350z (aftermarket one)Upgraded Gear box ,DP (3,5 or 4 inchs), the fmic and piping so it will take a little time to make it run again .
Thanks guys !!!.

defintely go with the mazworx gasket, you will never ever have issues with it i can guarantee you that. Get the full grommet one, its a bit more expensive than your normal gasket but its a hell of a gasket. You wont be dissapointed in it.

they have worked really really well, again our blocks head threads are the same and they have been compared to other sr20 head studs that bottom in the block and the golden eagles are identical on the bottom part of the stud. Only difference is the stud is about 3/8" longer due to different head heights but this is no big deal at all. There are plenty of threads at the top of the stud. Just need to use a deep 12pt 12mm socket to tighten them down.

they have an awesome torquing procedure that very well matches our engines. And they are a 1/3 of the cost of the greddys. I got mine for 110.00 shipped to my door and again how can you go wrong with a product that has been holding up to several 1000 hp honda engines.

So far i have yet to have problems. Im using a Cosworth headgasket which you might consider contacting them to see if they have their ve gasket out yet. I know there was plans to do it. They are right there with the mazworx as far as quality and durability goes. Neways 24psi soo far from the 60 trim and not even a sign of any problems to come. 4 months of abuse and running better than ever. Its funny because every time i beat on the engine it seems like it runs better. I think those hard cp rings are finally starting to seat better when put under boost since i had that problem with no oil pressure for the first 3 startups.

Motor used to run kinda weak at idle cuz you could feel the weak cylinder and not to mention compression was down on all of them. I havent done a compression check for about 3 months now but by the way the engine idles and runs now id say the rings are finally trying to reseat themselves. Either way under boost the motor has been absolutely perfect.
