Thread: So got to do some drag racin' last night

Met with a couple other forum members, and went to my local dragway last night.

We had a lot of fun, and I had fun running the SE-R for the first time. First pass was crap, because I didn't want to launch; 14.4 @ 101mph. My second run was my best one; 13.94 @ 102mph. Had a 2.26 60'. Third run was more of the same...14.1 I think, horrible start...wheel hop. Oh well, my goal was 13 something, and I hit it.

Pretty decent, I think, with street tires and a full interior. One of the guys that came with us said people were talking sh*t while I was pullin in to the water box, but when I did my burnout their jaws dropped. lol I mean, my car isn't like that amazing...but for what it is, and the way it looks, it surprises people.

Anyway, just wanted to share my time.

What mods do you have?

It's a Blue Bird DET, stock turbo, 12psi, JGY IC piping, Johnny Race-Car 5" FMIC, 4bar fuel, 370 injectors, 255 fuel pump, forged internals, ARP head studs, Cometic gasket, greddy cat back, JWT ECU, JWT pop...I think that about covers it.

Yeah Jeff, Joel did go. His fastest run was 14.4, I think...met another guy too, Craig. He's on the forums too...lives not too far from me. He's got a B13 as well, except it's all sorts of JDM. Sunny badges, bumper, fogs, everything. Even says Super Saloon on the back! His is also VE'd, think he ran a 14.3 or something.

you need black couplers. that would top off that sleeper look. the blue kinda grabs attention. but nice overall... i like it =]

yeah not bad at all for your first time out. Not bad just get some more seat time in and you will see your times get better. Everything from launch and quick shifts can better your time. Congrats.

Yep. And put a light coat of flat black spray paint on that intercooler for good measure.

As is, your car rocks and is sneaky as hell.

Blackout that IC, piping, and coupler and you will be ridiculously stealthy.
