My vet build few questions
so today my friend and I were taking apart the det motor to reseal the upper and lower oil pan and front cover and I thought I might try switching the ve upper and lower oil pans, ya no they don't work.
so I thought I just throw that out there, I learnt something new today
Question 1
but as I have both motors apart, does anyone know if a ve oil pump and front cover will work on a det I didn't get that far tonight. So before I take it all apart, to see.
I do plan to reseal it all this was the main purpose of taking it apart
Question 2
I want to wash the motor it's been flipped a few times on the stand and I worried that oil got in antifreeze holes in the block and vice versa, if I power wash it and let it dry good am I safe, cuz I don't want to pull the crank and rods and barring and send it out
Question 3
which high temp sealant orange or grey rvt
So far I got ve head washed, machined and oil return from head plugged and taped with new oil return
sr20det from tiger Japan for 700+taxes no harness or ecu
arphead bolts
metal ve head gasket 86mm
I am using the ve coolant lines from water pump to t-stat
using ve oil filter housing ready for oil gauges temp and psi
intercooler rated for 350hp
turbosmart bov
what I am waiting for is
downpipe to be made
intercooler piping to be made
reseal upper, lower and front cover
full gasket kit from gspec
dogmount from gspec
motor mount insert from gspec
cam retainer bolts- Just to shut my friend up he broke one of his on his cougar after he installed it and he won't stop crying about how I should change them
need to find someone to either sell me a b14 ecu with 370 injectors
9.3:1 comp
I want 8000 rev limiter
E60maf
no second o2
t25turbo running 7-10psi
ve head
I will be running the ve off apexi
4bar fuel pressure
or a chip with all that
and then install it one weekend. and then just drive it
