Thread: upgrading turbo-need help

while trying to troubleshoot today i had one hand on the rad support and i reached to rev the engine at the throttle body and i got shocked pretty bad. i think that the spark is jumping but i dont see how.

did you check any of the things i mentioned?

ya bro i checked everything you mentioned and it all checks out

could the wires be grounding out somewhere? causing the issue under boost?

did you use jwts maf diagram cause its backwards

once they get old, they dry out. Then the spark can jump to the closest ground.

But a problem like that is usually constant, not just under boost.

It used to be wrong. It has been fixed and if the maf was wrong the car would not run.

Agreed they usually cause misfire over the entire range. If you got shocked you have a short some where. I would start with the plug wires and injector harness.

i used the corrected one from what i know.



ya the problem starts once the car goes into boost. it revs fine and drives on vacum fine.
