yeah if your getting shocked by your wires either one of your wires isnt makeing a good connection, wires are bad and have too much resistance, or coil has a crack causing it to jump spark to the nearest ground which would be you and the motor. I usually see this from cheapy sets of wires, very rare do i see it from se-r wires although the jdm motor we put in my buddies sentra came with several bad wires so i replaced the set with an oem set i had laying around and all was good. Definetly check wires and the coil to see if you can see where the spark is jumping from.

what are the possibilities of my problem being that i might have connected the injector plugs on backwards? one of my buddies told me the backfire under boost is the car leaning out.

i dont have stock injectors. i have subie 520s. so i had to splice into the injector harness to hook up the pigtails.

pull the fuel rail and turn the key on so the fuel pump primes. if you have a leaky injector you will see it. Did you lube the o-rings when you installed the injectors? also change the oil if it smells of gas.
