I told you it was for cold idle starts. If you can adjust the IACV screw either way while in timing mode, and your idle does nothing, then you have vacuum leaks.

I'm done telling you to pressure test. I'm about to just drive down and do it myself!

Agreed! He used to get teased a lot for having a "rats nest" under the hood. I don't think he gets to live up to that joke anymore

then come do it bitch! lol. ok so check this out. today i drive it and it does not past 25oo rpm. it stays up there for about 3 minutes and goes down to 1000rpm and kind of goes from there to 780. wtf. so now im going to see if i can raise it with the idle screw and then put it into timing mode and set everything.. wierd ...................

What do you mean by this?

You mean that it wont rev past 2500rpm in gear? Or at idle?

If it idles high at cold idle, and drops down after warming up, then the AAC is functioning somewhat acceptable. Maybe the cold idle start values aren't correct in the bin file. Does it drive decent after warming up?

yeah it drives good. which is why i dont understand whats going on. the idle seems to be smoothing out with each passing day. i just change my spark plugs to a heat range six since i had 5's on there. and i just found a small leak on my vacume line going from the throttle body to my blow off valve so lets see if making these small fixes help

Well, the ECU DOES do a self learn, but I don't think it should be that far off, initially.
