Exactly. Great thing about left handed bits is that they seem to grab a lot more than just drilling and using an extractor, although that method also works as long as you are patient.

Just FYI, the drill bits pictured in that Harbor Freight kit are not left handed bits. The kit might specify otherwise in the text, but the picture tells a different story.

Yeah those aren't left handed bits... That is right handed drill set with left handed spiral extractors.

Yes, I know That's one of three kits I bought when I went to harbor freight. I didn't find the other one online, but it's in the same exact area that those that are linked, in the store.

Thanks everyone and this wasn't my fault so don't think I suck at life haha. Must of come like this and never noticed it. Tmrw I will go down to harbor frieght and pick that up Tek and we can get it done this weekend. I'm going to get all new studs while im at it (won't hurt anything) Thanks for the help guys!!

Bump from the dead. Figured i would try this before i started a new thread.

I need some new exhaust studs. But the studs cant be longer than oem (it would hit the manifold if it was.

So what are some options... (links above are broken) and i wouldnt mind getting arps but i looked thru their catalog and didnt find anything.

And the enjuku's are longer than oem from what i saw in Benfenners build thread.

i would just get new oem ones. I went with the enjuku ones and liked them a lot but they are def longer than oem

Just throw some jb-weld on another stud and slam it in there on top of that one. Should fix

it right up. lol

One thing I noticed when reading all of this, is no one suggested heating the broken stud.
Anytime I have a snapped stud or bolt, I usually drill the center out and use an extractor. If it's something like the manifold stud discussed here, I soak it in penetrating oil for a while, then using a torch, apply a little heat to it. The heat does wonders for breaking loose seized studs/bolts. Just have to be careful with it, and not heat the area too fast, or too much, so that it doesn't affect anything else in the area your working in.

sorry to say this but i dont like log style manifolds
they belong on diesel truck engines not on SR20's
