Thread: Question about avenir motor

Sadly I am broke right now and the moeny have saved up is to get my de runnning so i can get a better job (I need transportation) so i can save up for the DET for the summer.
Right now i am looking into a Stage 2 Gspec clutch kit (i need to know what pp greg sells int hat kit first), a reverse light switch, prothanes, tires (all 4) and a new flywheel. so I have my work cut out for me right now, but like i said i will be buying my DET form you int he future due to all of the good reviews i have heard on BOTH Forums!

Why a new flywheel?

Well when i first bought my xtd 9lb it did not have those3 dial pins in it so when i put my pressure plate in it would [rip apar tmy clutches hub =/ So I got a new clutch and had the dial pins installedbut my freind messed them up i guess and i still ahve the problem, its only a matter of days until it rips apart again(i can hear the springs rattling inside their little housing). the car is parked but i start it up every now and again to make sure she still runs (im mad cautious) but a few more starts and she will let go on me
but yeah that is why i I am getting a new flywheel...

Wow thats pretty bad, can't you get XTD to replace the flywheel?

It was a private sale on ebay i can't contact them for this beacuse i have had them already pressed in =/ so im just goint to get the XTD prolite or this adfab one i was looking at ont he other forum untill i got banned so no adfab for me lol
but heres the xtd that i am going to buy the one i have has no drilled holes but is chromoly like this one.. ;

And if you stop by sr20forum.com and search for Ebay clutch gone worng posted under this same name you can read up ont he whole journey of 2 different clutches i went through all in 2 months, the whole story is there. Its the thread of my epic fail with sr20 drivetrain

You talked to chris, whatever he told you was probably true. its not a big deal though i have found my new home! everyone here has been mroe than helpful already and the info is easier to find here.
