Yes they are standard. Here in the states the 1980 Toyota Corolla came with the four round head lamps. In 1981-1983 the lights were square. They only came with the 4 round lights in 1980.

I am very old school at heart. My father has owned many old school toyotas in his day. My first car was a 3TC powered 71 corolla.

Another SOFLA big boy KA-T street car. This car is equipped with a power glide. I will try to find some bay pics

Andreas this car belongs to Jeff (Yellow S13). You know he use to be a hardcore RB26 guy. He is now rocking the KA as well. Andre showed him the light.

THE PAIN!

And if you dont know you better ask somebody!

Andre is the man with his car but these guys need to realize I spoke to Andre about his build and we talked about cams, turbos, and all that stuff and he got the cams and turbos I recommended for his car. Know Andre knows more about KA24DETs than me as he has had way more experience with them so when I am ready I know what parts I am going to run but at the same time I am going to talk to him about what are the weakpoints of the KA24DET and what I need to address for my build.

I mentioned Jeff in this thread with his RB26DETT yellow 240SX Rob. Thats the point these guys need to understand even RB guys going KA24DET. What they dont understand is a 750 WHP and 700 Ft Lb Torque KA24DET will outrun a 800 HP 650 Ft Lb Torque RB26DET. There are a few 800 plus KA24DETs out there right now but some of the guys who have them what it to be kept on the down low.

These guys need to understand that Jeff ran the streets with his RB26DET and even he ran to the KA24DET for the low cost of the build by alot, the lighter weight of the KA24DET, ease of getting motor and parts and the outragous HP to torque rate of the KA24DET

You guys just keep watching and you will see by the end of next year the KA24DET cars will be the talk and all the rage.

AGAIN KA25DET for me.

yeah the words rb26 and budget should never be used together unless the word big is in front of it. A much better idea would have been to use the 2jz. They slide into the s chassis like pie and make awesome torque and great power and are very very strong. Hell in a s chassis 9's would be easy without even opening the engine.

The engineering of the 26 is a step above the 2jz (for its purpose), but as far as brute power and strength and torque is concerned the 2jz takes the title

Funny you mention the 2J. A local guy named Silvio who use to be a SE-R guy has a 2j swapped S14. The car has a bone stock 2j with a a big single turbo set up and a healthy does of nitrous. It recently ran a low 10 second 1/4 mile at 140 mph. This on a stock automatic Supra tranny.

I would have to call a dealership and find out. If not I can ask some of the boys if they have a front end for sale.

That car I know for a fact is beat on too and is still together which is pretty badass for a almost stock set up.

I am Ka for a street car with a GT35 to GT42r depending goal and a VVL 2.2L for drag with a S372R or Gt42r.

I have seen Andre's car on the dyno and that thing is nasty on low boost. I have yet to see the car run on the streets but I am sure it would pucker up most guys butt hole if you were in the passanger seat.
