wet plugs
Hey guys I've come to size-able problem with my car. The damned thing just wont turn over; cranks but no start.

So my setup is BB motor in a 94 se-r, s4 cams, turbo with external wastegate, blow-through z32 maf setup, unorthodox pulleys, sard 850 cc injectors and a N*Tuning ecu tuned for the specific setup.

So far I've checked the timing chain to see if i might have skipped a tooth or something but no; no skipped teeth. 20 pins between the timing marks at TDC.

I've been using NGK Bkre7's with the stock gap. Would the improper gap really not allow it to start?
After each failed attempt i check the spark plugs and they re always wet and the top of the pistons are as well.

I've had the injectors flow tested and had new pintle caps installed. Ive tested to see if they leak and they do not. Ive also done a pressure test to rule out any vacuum leaks.
Maf voltage is within spec and that has been ruled out.

Im kind of out of options at this point and would appreciate any input.

You need to get that excess fuel out of your cylinders. Sounds like the injectors are dumping too much fuel.

I got the ecu and injectors from a friend who said they had no problems with it. Worse case scenario i might need a retune. But i dont think thats the problem cause im running the same setup.

Pull the plugs and leave the plug holes open for the night, cover the VC with a rag or something, but let the holes breathe. Let the gas evaporate from the top of the pistons, let the plugs dry then pop em in the next day and it should start. If you are getting spark then it will start no matter unless the injectors are spraying fuel like a high psi water hose.

ill try that tomm. Im sure theres some gas in the oil. I dont plan on driving the car like that i just want to get it starting correctly. Would I cause any damage if i were to leave the oil in there while trying to figure out this problem?

While you pull the plugs out, you should really close down the gap to what they SHOULD be. Last I checked, when I received my plugs and pulled them out of the box, they were gapped at .035 +/- .002. Should be down around .028 to .030.
