i am aware the other lines are coolant. i built the dang thing from bearings up. i know that motor well.
when you say boost reference, what do you mean? can it be used for a boost gauge? i will search on that.
i can try to snap a picture, but i dont think it will come out well. i will have to wait till tomorrow for daylight. for a phone, the camera works well, but not excellent.
p.s. that golden eagle thing is dope!

Didn't mean to offend with the coolant comment, it was mostly kidding, but humor shows up poorly over forum posts!

When I say boost reference, I mean that that nipple goes to the opposite side of the diaphragm as the larger one. It causes the boost to help push the valve open. There's a good article about it somewhere, but I can't seem to find it right now. You can't use it to run anything off of, it isn't a pass through or anything.

I don't know what that should go to, I haven't had it in my car yet, and I pulled out all of the EGT and emissions stuff, so I'm just leaving it capped. In any case, you ought to be able to run anything you want off them, I just got tired of all the T's and stuff, it looked messy to me. It's vacuum/boost, so it really doesn't matter what you run off it, but if you have a ton of hose volume, it can start to introduce lag into the system, which could slow down your bov. As far as the gauge goes, it won't matter at all, I just want my bov to be snappy.

I was stoked when I found that manifold, and it was not that spendy, but you can find others out there that are cheaper, if you want. The golden eagle one is only $35ish new, and blox makes one too. You can find them on some different plumbing and industrial supply sites too. You can make them as well by stringing together 1/8npt brass t-fittings.

Hope all that makes sense...

I would never install a cheap BOV with either the FPR or wastegate, 2 very important things that can cause disaster if they fail to get a responsive vac/boost signal.

First, you yourself a favor and open up the BOV. Check for diaphragm leaks (I took care of those by installing a larger thicker o-ring), then reclock it so that the top vacuum nipple is at a way better location. Then either T it off the booster, a vacuum accumulator, or any other line in the intake manifold except the FPR, wastegate, or idle control.

yeah no doubt. i plan to just turn it around to face the other way. i looked to see and the nipple to use would be damn near impossible to get a vac line on it
