Also, there is another car with the exact same paint, b13 wheels and stock unmolested look in that area that is a rebuilt title. It's been listed for a number of months over and over with different locations.

Started at $2900 and is now magically gone. My bet is it'll pop up for $2400 now but I would not dare go look at it, far less commit to this seller.

There was even another listing of someone who went to look at the car that ended up running the carfax as Jay said.

Being from the North, albeit the US salt capital state, I would prefer seeing the actual rusty junk rather than have someone go through some trouble hiding the fake shit just to make a quick buck.

But that sounds about right for the less than savory folks that exist in this silly place called "Earth". What a shame for this sham.

Yeah I think this all the same car...Theres no way any of us SER lovers would have let it sit there that long.
If it was a legit, low miles, original paint,etc...Like @Kyle 's car ,they would have gotten over 2500 for this car long ago.
We all know its too good to be true.

To clear it up guys this is the one that is rebuilt and has been listed several times, started at $4k down to $2800
It's maroon on the outside, but if you look closely the engine bay is distinctly Aztec red.

Rare Nissan SE-R

Nissan Se-r

There was another 92 se-r in red or maroon but went quick, details unknown but I suspect it went to a lucky guy in Miami.

I don't think it's the same car, the one at the dealership had a gold pinstripe running down the side.

As far as the engine bay looking like Aztek red, could it be that Nissan didn't clearcoat the engine bay?

The first time I saw it listed months ago,I saw the engine bay and suspected it was aztek red repainted also, and moved on.
Plus, originally it was listed for 3500.

Rebuilt title does not mean shit on a 20 year old car. If the car was 0-10 years old then there could be an arguement.

Example

A 94 SER with a book value $1500 gets inti an accident, there is damage to the hood, bumper, headlights and fenders but no structual damage. From the.insurance companys poont of view there is $600 worth of parts and $600 wort of paint work and $400 worth of labor. This car is written ok or gets a rebuilt title if customer takes responsibility to fix his own car with less money given by insurance to customer. Guy goes to junk yard buys $300 in parts, hangs the parts himself and gets a $500 paint job. Well the cars is still structurally sound with a rebuilt title hanging over it.

Thus car needs to be looked at by a trained eye and the price maybe should be haggled diwn to $1500

^Totally understood and agree.

Just several things are against it in my opinion...

1. Majority of insurance companies make it a hassle or more expensive to insure a Rebuilt Title car.

2. The person with the car currently, going down $1200 to $1300 is a stretch.

3. I'd pass on a 1992 SE-R over and 1993 or 1994. (I've had them all)

If you try and get full coverage there will be a problem, if you get pip and liability there is no issue because they are not paying to fix your car. If you have full coverage on these old cars you are craxy and the insurance company is ripping you off.

You are right on number 2, but if I was buying it as a beater to get from point A to B I would get it, because it would pay for itself in 1 years with lack of payments and I could still it for $1500 to the next guy who needs a beater 2-3 years later.

You got number 3 from me.

You need to sell me that rear bumper for $150 for years of good advice and finding you those bumpers for $150 or at least take me out to Cheese Cake Factory.

One thing I hold against salvage title cars is that if you get hit, it will be harder to argue the value and get any money from insurance.
