How long was the car in the tow yard? These guys keep the cars there long so the fees can rack up. You should have been contacted from day one then the fees should start after you were told the car was there.

All that was taken was the radio and wheels, they spray painted some parts of the car, but thanks to ga16det I got the car back. All I know is Miami, FL sucks when it comes to stolen vehicles, a lot of times if you don't find it yourself, the damn police don't give shit. The tow yard said they had the car since the 3rd day it was stolen and I been calling the police everyday for 3 weeks straight and they said they didn't find the car, just saying if we get any information the detective will call...which never happened. In the end of the day I'm just happy to have my car back and now its time for a rebuild.

Look for your wheels on a honda. But glad it was found in piece,good luck with the rebuild.

Sounds like a similar situation my buddies sentra went thru a year ago. Car got stolen from in front of his house, car was found a week later in a tow yard in hialeah, like wtf was it doing up there when the car got stolen from homestead... Lol then the people that worked at the yard said the vehicle had no information to contact the registered owner, but somehow when he was looking for parts for his new build he stumbled across this clean shell sitting in the lot across from the junkyard lol went in talk to the guy said someone had left it parked in front of the yard and they just towed it and let the fees add up... Long story short paid the money with a credit card placed a stop payment on it and got a lawyer and he yard had to pay for the fees he paid and for the damages done to the car since it had gotten broken into and they took everything and left a bucket as a seat... Fucking yards are just as crooked as the thieves!

Florida has a lot of thieves, wasn't like his before. As soon as the honda crowd started to drift over, cars started disappearing much more frequently.
