Thread: ac compressor clutch

so my ac compressor clutch went out the other day so i had to bypass it all together it didnt make the grinding noise anymore, whats the best way of getting a new one, should i buy a new compressor or just the pulley part and is it a better idea to go to a shop to get it done

well, you'd prolly be better off buying a new/reman/used from a forum member compressor because it would be more work to just buy the clutch and change it out.

and to recharge your a/c system you will prolly have to take it to a shop to recharge.
unless you can just se them cans they have at AZ, i never used one so i wouldn't know
