either input shaft bearing inside the trans or the throw out bearing as everyone else stated. only one way to find out lol

...both require pulling the trans.

I'm going to lean towards yes. My unsprung disc did the EXACT same thing. you don't even need to push the clutch in all the way to get it to stop which makes you think TOB... but when I changed clutches but retained the same TOB, the sound went away.
