RS5F32A Trans (99 SE-L) into 00+ P11 Questions
OK, I know this is not a common swap, but I have my reasons.

I want to move the RS5F70V in my P11 into my turbo NX eventually. I read the P11/B15 into B13 thread and know I should be fine swapping in that direction. Just need to use the shift rod, stabilizer bar, and stabilizer bar mount from the P11 and I should be good.

My issue comes up with what to do with my P11 in the mean time. Ideally, I would like to find a B15 LSD trans to swap into the P11. Just as strong as the P11 trans, better gearing for N/A, and a straight drop in swap if I understand correctly. These transmissions are extremely hard to come by here in Hawaii though.

As such, I am weighing another option. I have a friend with a 99 B14 SE-L (RS5F32A) trans/axles/shift rod/stabilizer bar that I could get for SUPER cheap(~$150-ish for everything). Being from an SE-L, the trans has the bolt holes to mount a top mount trans mount just like a 99 P11 does. Different trans mount than the 00+ P11, yes, but getting a different mount is no trouble. I understand the 32A is weaker/non-LSD/etc., but this will be in a daily driver with MAYBE 150whp and will only be temporary to hold me over (indefinitely) until I can locate or save up for a B15 LSD trans. Oh and no race days or anything. Just driving around the island.

So my question is this: is this a feasible swap with the equipment that I listed above (the SE-L equipment)? Or would I need additional equipment? SE-L crossmember, perhaps?

The only issue I can think of (besides converting the SE-L trans to hydraulic) would be the stabilizer bar mounting on the 32A. I am not sure how I would get the SE-L stabilizer bar to mount up, as the 70V stabilizer bolts to the trans and I don't think the 32A trans has provisions for that. If I could get the SE-L crossmember and mounts as well, would that work? Does the shift stabilizer on a 99 P11 mount up to the motor mount like a B13/B14, or does it mount up to the trans like a 00+ P11?

It would definitely be easier to do a B15 trans right off the bat, and especially if I could find one local, otherwise I am looking at a ~$200 for everything for a 32A into my P11 vs. ~$850 to have a just a B15 70V shipped to me from the mainland, not even counting the shift rods and such. That's a pretty big difference for me.

Anyways, please let me know what you think everybody! Thanks in advance!

Just for future search purposes. All that is needed for this swap is the following:

- RS5F32A Trans (98-99 Sentra SE/SE-L or 99 P11 Base)
Note: NEEDS to have motor mount holes (4) on top of trans. B13 and 95-97 B14 transmissions WILL NOT WORK!!!
- 91-96 P10 or 99 P11 Shift Linkage
- 99 Manual Trans Mount (11220-2J200)
- Cable to Hydro Conversion Parts
- 99 (32A) Driver's Axle

If using a 32V trans (99 P11 Touring only) instead, all that changes is needing the corresponding 99 P11 32V Drivers Axle.

Hope this helps anyone that got in a pinch like I did!!

the 98-99 trans is junk IMO. Keep looking for a B15. I have a B15 LSD trans in my
98, absolutely the best trans I've ever had in an sr20

I would do it. The egg is your fun car and the P11 is the DD or cruise car, yes? No reason you would really require the LSD in the P11.

The B15 trans is meh, the first gear is fully worthless, second ends too quickly as well, 3rd gear is the same are normal SE-R boxes (but the final makes it end even faster) and the 3rd to 4th shift takes the car out of power since the gap between those two gears is crazy. Similar to the SR16VE box.

But that is preferential and dependent on the application at hand. The even gearing of the SE-R boxes is pretty spot on. And with MFactory making diffs for LSD and non-LSD. The money he saves from sticking with the box he can get in Hawaii vs the mainland would leave him with the extra cash to buy that if he really wanted an LSD, or use those funds for other stuff. Living in Hawaii is beautiful but I can only imagine how problematic is can be to acquire parts.

I was moreso praising the B15 trans because of its proven reliability and ability to handle a lot more power than the B13/B14. You have a point with the ratios and 1st is a little short, but I really like 2nd. Also my car still has the OEM ECU with the lame 7100RPM fuel cut, which becomes even lamer with S3 cams.
