Transmission orientation shipping
Is there a reason why I couldnt ship a transmission bell housing opening facing down? Fastening it to wood using factory mount holes would be ideal this way. Thoughts?

there is a guy who ships transmissions this way with UPS all the time, i see him almost every week..this is ideal..i would wrap it in plastic wrap as well to give a better mounting surface for shipping labels etc.

also make sure the fluids are COMPLETELY drained, oil is considered a haz mat and if it were to start seeping anywhere it would completely halt wherever it is in the system and you would have to go pick it up from whatever building it is in because they will not move it at all. (This is for UPS, not sure about other places)
