They do, and its exactlly that... Especially speaking for the gears. They dont wanna buy the right machinery to get the job done right and then when they do the guys sit on there asses and iill the jobs so the company has no other choice but to find viAble options elsewhere in which case they must have turned to the same vendors that make eurocopter parts. So.... Not ONLY american parts... But only out of necessity and the government has to inspect the part thoroughly and sign off on them from gears to nuts an bolts.

Also to make this post atleast somewhat related to the topic, the way u installed the bearings is fine. If u were to rent a bearing install kit from the zone you would be doing the very same thing just with a aluminum tool likely with some sort of guide lip or edge to let u know when uve bottomed out. If u were careful im sure theyll be fine.

I actually have a harbor freight shop press, never used...lol. It didnt come with much as far as plates, etc for pressing with...but have never done wheel bearings so I was hoping I can just find a shop to save the aggravation.
I guess I need to find some proper sized hunks of metal to fit for the size of the bearings, and I could give it a try.
I did try to do a prothane once with it and had no luck with that.Actually broke a pass mount housing in the process and bent the shit out of a rear mount too...

I know Nissan uses NSK for the ac compressors. Ive used SKF bearings for the wheels with zero issues. Swedish know their bearings

Skf also flight worthy on the s92 aircraft lol funny how stuff crosses over. Thats a awesome set i kit right thurrrr, surprised i havnt seen it before. I got a lot of harbor freight kits here at home they arent too shabby. Would probably work well with your press once u get various blocks and shims to hold the housing level

I know it's true for every construction project I've been on for the 3 bases in San Antonio (Brooks, Lackland, & Randolph)...down to the nuts and bolts that are used. That being said, I would hope sensitive machinery such as a Blackhawk would use parts based on their superiority rather than where they're made...which may be the case.

Im a former 15T, blackhawk repairer. All the specialized parts in the world are no match for the U.S. Army. We will find a way to fuck it up.

Just get this. It will pay for its self in a few years. Ive had mine for the better part of a decade and it takes as long to replace the brakes as it does the bearing. And the spindle never has to be taken off. HUB GRAPPLER MST6575 | Matco Tools
