update. I have removed the clutch pedal(hydro) and gotten it to engage sooner and still have some adjustment both ways by adding a spacer between the pedal and firewall.
This has made a noticeable improvement in driveability so far.
I also fixed a FUBAR dogbone mount as weell recently, which has also helped a bit as well.(when you do get chatter its not so intense in the cabin)
I have been basically babying it as if it is not broken in yet(probably isnt,as I am finding out simply because the car wasnt driven alot on this setup before I aquired it)
I hope it will continue to chatter less and less as I smoothly wear the disc and flywheel by trying not to slip it too much or beat on it for a few hundred/thousand more miles.
At this point I dont want to remove the transmission until I have to....which I know is inevitable and only a matter of time.I have a backup trans on deck already though for when that day comes

overall it is getting better and it definately is better when not cold...a little heat in it and its alot better

Today I tighten up my accelerator cable and they made a nice improvement on engaging the clutch smoothly while giving it gas from a stop. I'm very happy with the 4 puck fx500/xtd flywheel setup.

Sad update on my Boosted NX and this FX500...or F-U 500 is more like it..LOL
. The car was down for over a year needing an engne and some other stuff.
Clutch looked great like barely any wear on it when I removed it.
It was a stock flywheel so I put a new 13.5 lb on and scuffed the disc and PP to freshen the surface a bit,and reinstalled once I finally got an engine to go in.(a few weeks ago)

I have been babying the car for the most part to shake it down and work out the bugs.
I put a super fresh low miles 70v p11 trans in to replace the 99 that was in it before and everything felt beautiful.
Clutch grabs great,no chatter anymore, and shifts smooth as butter and the trans feels like new......

....well that lasted about 150 miles and just cruising along in 5th gear and it felt like the clutch disengaged and I was coasting/free-revving.
car is still in 5th gear, never popped out or anything....no noises,no nothing. Car runs fine clutch pedal feels fine,it goes in all gears fine but no forward or backward movement.
Got the car towed home.

What I found was all the rivets sheared on the center hub of the disc The damn cutch and pressure plate look like new still, but the rivets that came off did some slight sccratches on the flywheel but nothing that cant be scuffed up and reused from the looks of it.You can see it but barely feel it.

So I spent way too much already getting this car all back together and sorted to have to deal with this. But at this point ,I am looking for advice on whether to buy another fx500 disc only and take a chance on it...or go get a whole new FX500 setup and try again.
OtherwiseI was looking at Action Clutch, but they have had some issues with hubs too.

Any input ,suggestions,or links to special deal/pricing would be really helpful.
I know where to get Action Clutches but whats the best place to get FX500??
Thanks

You make sure all the dowels were in?

Just go with the action stage 4 1ms , it's cheaper, feels better and best of all... No chatter!

All clutch brands seem to have issues, sometimes its the rivets, sometimes the hub splines..

What kind of torque is this engine making? I ask because if it's not a bunch, you could maybe get by with the tried and true JWT PP and B15 Valeo Disc. You're probably making too much though, which puts you in the no-mans land of zero affordable good clutch solutions for daily driving.

Well I am trying to get all my options ...waiting to hear back about Action pricing.I want to use the fx500 PP since its so little use on it.

I havent had it on the dyno but I would have to guess the torque is 250ish or more TQ. This same setup dynoed 330/298 on e85 @12lbs before I got the car Now its on a 12lb 93 tune ...so just guessing here...I REALLY need to get it to a dyno ASAP after its back together again.
Glad this didnt break on the dyno 6 hrs away though. I barely got 150 miles on it after getting the newer engine in..SMH

Errrr why'd you "scuff" the clutch disc?? Also, how did you go about doing it?? Normally, the disc remains untouched if you are doing a swap and you just refresh the flywheel. The clutch will break itself in after a few hard pulls

Very odd failure. Had my FX500 on both the B14 SER with 240-370 WHP and several trackdays and then had the FX400 on the EFR 240SX (shares the same disc a the FX500, but it is sprung). Not a problem on that either (12 or so trackdays and lots of street launches on the 240SX).

I just scuffed it with 2000 grit sandpaper very lightly to remove the slight glazing it had on it.Nothing seriousThe car drove perfect after that so I am sure it only helped because the chatter I had was gone after the clutch was reinstalled.I was treating like it was just getting broken in since the flywheel was new also.
Yes,its an odd failure, but not uncommon. There is another thread on here of the EXACT same failure...you will see I posted in that thread too and bumped it.
Also,I posted my pics on facebook and there was at least 2 others who posted pics of the same exact problem. The rivets in that disc are a joke.
I was looking at the fx400 sprung disc as a replacement to use since my PP is still pretty fresh, but I may just get a new clutch kit...still gathering pricing and options at this point.I am under 300whp and dont beat on or abuse my stuff,so unless there was some damage done before I got this car that was unnoticeable when I reinstalled this clutch,it just flat out Failed.
I was just cruising at 2000rpm when it let go.No warning nothing....NOT my fault ,and no way me scuffing it up slightly had ANYTHING to do with this failure, but I appreciate the input.
