transmission identification?
are there any ways of identifying what trans is in your car? I have 2 b13's right now, and have owned 2 others previously. I know the transmissions out of p11's are a popular swap for the o/e junk b13 manual trannie, but do you guys know of any markings on the trans. itself that can be used to identify what it came out of, or should be in? my 93' has one out of something else I went to put an outer c.v. boot on it and it was different big time, I believe I ended up using a boot off a 95 200sx se-r after about 3 wrong boots. im getting ready to get my 92' road worthy and am curious what's in it right now as I cant compare it to my 93' cuz its obviously out of something else. thanks!

ive got to admit, one big difference from Honda forums to Nissan forums, had this been a Honda forum there would be 10+ jack asses telling me about this thing called SEARCH. Nissan forums you just get silence. and honestly I prefer the silence. I will search, and will post results to help any future people who may have this same question.

As long as the tranny is lsd(b13 b14 p10 p11 or b15) the axle says the same in a B13 or B14. When you are getting your parts the could either be 1.6 or automatic parts.

Take pictures of the trans where the driver axle goes in and also pics of the front top where it connects to the motor

Depends on if its an OBDI or OBDII p10, probably, but I assume the only differences could be the speed sensor and the flywheel sensor?
