Decided to go for the Exedy kit instead. The G-Spec order wasn't going through because the company is traveling or something.
I had a VE in a B15 and P11. The stock B15 disc holds well enough and I didn't have spring problems. I have had spring problems with every "B15" disc bought since. Even ones saying they are made in Japan. None seemed to be real Exedy OEM replacements.
What the knock offs like Valeo don't take into consideration is the extra torque the B15 tranny makes. Compared to all the other years of the sr20 they make discs for. It is harder on the disc springs and input shaft bearings. Only the true OEM parts will do. The P11 keeps the wheels 90 degrees to the road, so even a stock sr20 with decent bolt ons and stock computer can make enough torque with the stock '99 tranny to tear out clutch springs on cheap "OEM" discs. Discs barely made to "meet" OEM specs, definitely not "exceeding" OEM specs.
My JWT with "B15" disc in my VE'd g20... The PP still wore a groove from the throwout bearing and felt like crap after a while. You know, when the clutch sticks near the floor because the groove worn in the PP tines? Cheap metal? My stock B15 PP didn't wear in half the time all the replacements, even JWT, do.
