I did osme looking 'round and came to a concluison of my 4 dial pin question, I looked and noticed that quite a few of sr20 flywheels have 4 dial pins.

This is interesting any reason why this is?

My fidanza has 4 of them.

The more the better IMO, less chances your PP will get miss aligned hehe.

^ OUr pressure plates only have 3 holes so only 3 of the 4 will ever be used and made effective. The other just seems to just be there..... lol

That flywheel is already out of specs. The step is gone.

If you guys run chromoly steel flywheels use organic discs.

If you guys run steel pucked clutches run a flywheel like Fidanza so that you can remove the friction plate and change it when worn.

The car this came off was running an organic clutch. I never even knew they ran a firction surface with a bit more meat on it! Learn something every day!

What he meant was that even the stock flywheels have a stepped part to them raising it up.

BTW I got my fidanza off ebay the other day. All is good with it.

Isn't the flywheel a perfectly balanced piece. I would think that the 4th pin would make it unbalanced. Every little bit counts at a couple of thousand RPMs.

Yes the flywheels are perfectly balanced, this doesnt seem to make it anymore unbalanced as there is a hol drilled to balance the flywheel.

I would not worry about this the Fidanzas and alikes all have 4 pins as I have found and many many sr20 owners are using them with not vibration issues.

I take it we are safe here, so when i install my 13.3 lb I hope no vibrations show up.
