You can identify by the 10th character on the transmission id plate. The 10th character is the year of the transmission. You want to get the '04-'06 Spec V transmission.

Yep, all the spec v transmissions have a vin plate on them. Simple enough. And you can get a full history of the car it was in if you'd like. Makes it nice. Mine was pretty low mileage and in a rear end collision. I will add that information into the thread. thanks

I took measurements of the bellhousing, block, rear tranny bracket, and starter to come up with these bolt measurements. These will be the new bolts you'll need for this 6 speed swap. I took my time to draw a detailed picture. The view is facing the bellhousing, and all measurements are in mm. Hope this helps someone out. I ordered mine from Chrome Bolts, Stainless Steel Bolts, Metric Bolts, Socket Head Cap Screws, Grade 8 Bolts, F911 Bolts for about $15.00 shipped, and they are all grade 12.9 cap head bolts.

"4. The s15 flywheel/clutch setup is a possible option. While on paper it should work and it uses a 240mm clutch which should fit with little to no clearancing needed on the bellhousing, I haven't seen anyone try to use one yet so not a lot of information is available at this time on it. I will add more if the parts are ever tried and documented to work."

I have an s15 flywheel and my clutch will be here by the end of the week. So, I'll be checking for any clearance issues this weekend. I'll post up results with pics afterwards. I ordered my flywheel from Driftworks for about $408.00 shipped. It comes with grade 12.9 cap head crank bolts. They are a company in the UK, and the international shipping only took 1 business day to get to my house.

Is this really necessary? We can't use the the stock bolts?

Nope, bolts are longer. If you buy the mazworx kit, it will come with all the new bolts you need. If you are doing your own mounts, well then your going to need new bolts. Starter bolts need to be shorter, trans bolts need to be longer. This is in comparison to the originals. The only ones you can still use are the ones on the back side of the motor that go through the block into the trans. Thats it.

What if you have a digital cluster? Any way to get that to work correctly with the swap?
