well the 08 runs low 12's stock, any type of mods high 11's trapping 118-120 so yeah you should be able to take it top end with the turbo and power your making no doubt. At 20 psi i was making about 440-450whp and was on pump gas as well. I know how you feel about charge pipes. Thats why now i use all reinforced couplers and t-bolt clamps tightened down like hell. Its frustrating when your racing an R1 and CBR1000 crotch rocket and your coupler keeps blowing off in 3rd and 4th just when i was starting to catch up. Not fun.

I do have reinforced couplers and truck style T bolt clamps, tightened like there is no tomorrow, and it keeps happening, Im gonna start rolling the edges of the pipes to see if that helps.

yeah and make sure there is no oil residue on the pipes. Take your couplers off completely, spray off the pipe with brake cleaner and the inside of the coupler and wipe all oil trace off. put a lip on the edge of the pipe around with some pliers. Dont need a very big lip. Reinstall and tighten the clamps down to hell. When i redid all mine like that i ran 34psi from the t67 with no couplers popping off at all. Not even a sign of movement. I have all my pipes lipped up using pliers and no problems at all.

Nothing like being on your way to a good run down the track twice and the same stupid coupler popping off in 4th gear. Then next run break an axle. What a waste of an evening. No more crappy couplers and clamps for me. lol you learn quick after getting really really frustrated by it.

I raced one about a year ago with my det, I was on his door until I shifted to 4th gear and he left me.

Bead roll your intercooler pipes... Luckily I'm in school for aviation and I have the luxury of using the bead roller in the shop if I need to bead my piping.

Putting beads on the pipes is important. However hair spray can get you by in a pinch.

I just bend the edges a little with pliers, and cleaneed the inside, it seems to be working... Bumped the boost to 18psi and now the GPS is recording 130mph on the 1/4 mile. I need to find that GTR again lol.
