T25 b13 vs evo 9, predictions...
I have a friend talkin all kinds of crap. Im sure its happened before with someone here, so what was the outcome and what is the specifics of the cars.

This guy is sayin he is @390whp @25psi. He likes to exaggerate too.

Im on 7psi on my de+t25 so maybe 200hp?

Any guesses?

Do you have a boost controller?

He's got you off the line that's for sure...

hes got you from the break to where ever he decides to pull out of it.

there is no way your gonna be able to even attempt to hang with him.

ive raced alot of stock to modded evos and know what they can and cant do.

time for a bigger turbo man.

Any idea what mods he's running? The whp sounds high for 25psi, but it depends on the dyno and what mods are done.

I used to own a b15 with det running "around" 300whp on a dynopak (never dyno'd on the last setup), and I now have a evo ix with bolt ons and mild cams. The evo would walk all over the sentra, dig or roll.

his whp sounds about right from his psi.

alot of the younger just getting into evo guys, do a few bolt ons, tune and crank the boost up on the stock motor and turbo.

they do about 350-390 whp all day on factory set ups. i didnt believe it either when people first started doing this but its true.

they will die off very fast up top, but the spool down low is very quick for what it is....

stock evo with exhaust a t25 WILL hang, i did with my buddy and I had my t25 on a regular de.
He was at 320 and I was at 290, I hung at the back bumper up to 150. He's now got a FP Red and going for 450whp, He will walk my ass any day.

Couldn't agree more (the second paragraph). 25psi can net you around 360-390 whp with pretty much all bolt on and supporting mods, fuel, etc with alky/meth.

Current day setups are seeing right at 400whp from stock turbo evos. Very very possible.

And for the previous comment, boost levels do not paint the entire picture.........25psi on C16 is completely different from 25psi at 93OCT (and that is oversimplifying the situation as the stock turbo pretty much runs out of puff @ a little under 450whp)

if this is going down at the track. One word. Slicks.

That and up the boost if you can to about 12psi

Here is a vid from my very first t25 setup:

YouTube - Turbo Sentra SE-R VS Lancer Evolution

This guy had cams, boost controller and tune and 25psi of boost. He was surprised i beat him and that was on street tires as well. I treed him but i still ran the faster time and faster mph by far. He was impressed to say the least. On slicks with that same setup I went 12.4 so you can imagine how much worse i would have whooped him and gotten a better 60ft as well than he do. A lot of evo owners do not know how to properly launch their cars and will bog out 99 % of the time or just baby it off the line. So you could have a shot. It will be close and down to driver i think.

I saw the 7 psi thing but thats not to say he cant up it. Unless he doesnt want to. I was running 8psi in that vid against the evo. 8psi also when i went 12.4 on slicks as well. Its gonna depend where this is taking place at, if he is running street tires or slicks. There wasnt much info given in the first post.
