The nice thing about gingerman is it is a very 'safe' track with tons of run-off without things to hit and nearby south haven has nice places to eat, right by the lake, etc.

Gingerman sounds like it definitely needs to go on our list of potentials. Do I hear a 2nd vote? ;-)

^ true enough (been there before myself) but if you want to go somewhere new and different, Gingerman could be an option?

How many people sign up for the track day typically? And does that $150 have to include the dragsrip cost or is it the roadcourse only price point?

That's just for the road course. I think we had over 30 people at the track this year, hopefully more next year.

It doesn't matter to me about different. It matters to me That the location is in a different section of the country to where it was the year prior. Just my opinion

okay, Did I hear before that Nebraska or Iowa is out (not a high enough turnout expected?)

I should really find out rates for Gateway though (*st. louis area) because they are 1-stop shop with a roadcourse and drag strip in the same facility! I don't think they are that expensive but if you guys have an interest, I can find out rates and get back to you on it. Near a big city, more central located.. newer location, etc.

I think St. Louis may be too far away from the core SR20 gathering. The convention in NE a few years ago saw a very small turn-out. I worry the same for Gingerman but I think we should look at it.

^ Really? St. Louis is too far but Autobahn wasn't? This surprises me. It is pretty easy to get to and very centrally located for people from mid-atlantic to get to as an example (much closer than cleveland anyway). 5 hour drive from chicagoland, 3 hours from Indy I think.. that is why the call it the 'gateway' to the west or east because of how they are located.

Or are you trying to cater mainly to east coast folks in this event? Is that your primary demographic that attends?

Stupid Putnam and their $$$... that's a sweet course for beginners too. Pretty flat and corners are marked fairly well.
