What does it explain? Please enlighten us.

it explains why you conduct yourself like Jordan..

Hopefully not everyone in California conducts themselves like you.

I think that the whole world should conduct themselves the way I am when they get ripped off.... especially when the item wasn't as described and the seller clearly knew, but he left that information out..

No bro, you're being unreasonable and you're not willing to work with Jordan on a resolution, you want it your way or no way at all. You already said there was no description and that you did not ask for one. WTF do really you expect?

This is still not clear.

You bought the box from them.
You left with the box & header.
You returned with the box & header.

Nothing is mentioned about packing material.

If the in-transit damage is substantial, and was related to packaging, WHO is responsible? WHO packaged it.

The way I read it, you bought an empty box from the UPS store, packed it yourself, and then returned to the store with a sealed box, and shipped it.

C[/QUO

I'm 100% certain that, that's how this took place...
they might have measured it for him, yes.. he might of used there tape, yes.. doesn't mean that they packaged it..

That is not true. The post clearly said local pick up preferred, that way a buyer could see it first before purchasing, and said it had some minor dings and dents. The whole transaction was to be handled by OP, not me. He wouldn't make the thread himself.

That's crap and you know it. First of all you posted an item for someone else, that's against forum rules. Second of all you did not disclose with a picture of the damage even after the shipping incident. Third, you were the primary contact, its your email address and you were offering shipping. Wrong across the board.

Sorry but you're completely wrong. Check the location of where it says the item is. It says POMONA, CA. I live in PA. He was to handle everything and I sent anyone who was interested in it to him. I didn't "disclose" a picture of the damage because I DIDNT HAVE THE HEADER. And I told OP to make the thread himself but he refused, was trying to do him a favor. OP isn't big on favors. Only threats.

Then someone has been serious fucked by UPS. I forget who actually filed the claim, but whoever it was, the verdict was the claim was denied due to improper packing, right? The UPS store packed it? Then why are we here talking? Why aren't the two of you working on UPS to get their heads out of their asses and cover the damage?

Why aren't we reading a thread about how much UPS sucks right now instead of this one?

sounds like Jordan needs to take initiative as the seller and the shipper and argue that Point if in fact that even took place... I just find it hard to believe that a UPS center would ship it like that... it's possible but not likely...

What strikes me as odd is that anytime I've done a ups insurance claim it is the shipper that has to initiate the claim. And if either one of you have a UPS account, you will get notified of all shipments and updates including claims.

I sent you all the pictures of the damages and I told you to use them for the new for sale thread, but did you?? I don't think so... you had possession of the pictures and if in fact you didn't, I would have simply forward them to you again... sounds like you were trying to rip off another member, weren't you??

Ok I'll explain. I think it was a Wednesday, I went to the UPS store with the header. I handed it to them, they measured it/weighed it and grabbed a box and looked up how much it would be. I texted OP the amount and he said that was too much and he wanted me to try FedEx instead. Since the box was enormous and $12 or something I decided I'd buy the box just in case USPS or FedEx were cheaper so I didn't have to find another one. I leave with empty box and header. OP texts me again 20-30 min later an says nevermind just send it from UPS. I say I already left UPS and it's probably closed by now. He flips and accuses me of scamming him and that I wasn't going to send it. This was the first clue the guy is unstable. So then the next day, probably a Thursday, I return with the header and the box. I put them on the counter. Employee puts header in box and weighs it, I am given the same quote as I was day before minus the $12 for the box since I purchased it already. I was under the impression that since it was the same price they were going to handle everything. OP still undercut the shipping cost by $24 but I was tired of hauling this stuff around so I said the heck with it and paid it. When I left the box was open with the header inside it. That's all I can tell you. UPS then lost the box for 2 days somewhere in CA. I argued with UPS on OP's behalf for an hour that day and then again yesterday.

correct, but they still permitted for me to initiate the claim,That and that only... then they were going to contact Jordan, since he was the shipper...

My God, you are an absolute fucking idiot!! Yes, I was trying to rip off someone just for you, so YOU would get the money for the item and I would be the one ripping some one off and taking the blame. My God, I can't believe you even got a driver's license?! You have no common sense, logic, or integrity. I'm done with you.
