Anyways, here we go again...
I mocked the manifold up, had it ready to weld. He thought the turbo was too close to the dizzy.
So, I changed it...no charge.
I mocked it up again, had it ready to weld. He decided that a 38mm wasn't enough for a 600hp car.
So, I changed it...no charge. I even ordered the gate and had it delivered to the shop to save him on shipping and time.
I mocked it up again, posted pictures of it mocked up on a spare block for him to clarify once again, and was given the go-ahead. Thanks to @lynch420 I had pretty good measurements of a b13 with a dual core radiator. 8 1/2" from the valve cover to the radiator. This is what I followed on Josh's manifold and on this one. I was aware of some minor changes to the lower radiator hose...but it's a sidewinder. I mean who makes 600hp without making a few changes in the bay?
As far as the v band on the downpipe, we all know that pte turbos are weird. I've done lots of pte's that were supposed to be 3" vband and were only 2.5". I even contacted our rep at Pure Turbos to ask what size it was for sure and he laughed at me. I told Chris that the only ones that I had done were 2.5" and that had to be what it was. He took my word for it and away we went. All he had to do was take another measurement and tell me that I was wrong.
The downpipe should have been cut in half and should have a 45* bend at the back of it but I was told not to worry about it that he could weld it up to his existing exhaust himself along with the o2 bung. Now it's surfacing that he doesn't have the skills to do it. I mentioned cutting the downpipe in half after talking with axion (dougfab) about fitment issues and offered to cut the downpipe in half and put flanges on it (for free) to Chris to save him on the hefty shipping bill of $180. I was told "No, I want it in one piece."
Now, all this time I was receiving payments from Chris. A deposit, which is normal, but after that it was just money here and there whenever he had it, which really wasn't a big deal. I had the set up done a week or so before he had the funds to ship it. I went back to the place to ship it and was told that it would be $240. So, I went to another place and was told shipping would be $213 to ship and $27 for packing materials. So, I shipped it. I collected the $180 from Chris and ate the rest of it on shipping. At this point I've eaten the shipping, about 6 hours worth of changes, some tubing, some piping, a high dollar 3" sch10 weld el and my belly is a little full from all this eating. So, forgive me if I'm not eager to spend money to ship something back to you and dump a bunch more time into something that was clearly documented throughout the entire fabrication process. There are pics on here, pics on the facebook page, and pics via text message but somehow it's all my fault. Keep in mind that I'm fabricating all of this on a ghost car that I haven't even seen pictures of. I got a few pics of "Ok, I want it like this" but that was it. You're going to have some minor issues and set backs...get over it. It's a "one off" piece, I don't have jigs for anything, they're all custom.
For those of you that know me and have talked to me whether it be on the forums or at the convention know that I'm a stand up guy. I go out of my way to help out. I donate to the forums, I lend hands, I help people with problems all the time. If I'm not willing to help you out anymore Chris then it's to the point where it's your problem not mine. I will let you know that you get a lot farther with people by being nice and that talking to me about the problems should have been the first step instead of posting pics of everything that was wrong and making me look like shit.
So, with all due respect. Suck a dick.
Mods: You do w/e you have to do.
I don't care what you think would work. I asked you will I have issues as I was concerned and you said nothing about having one issue, PERIOD
1) I told you it was a 2.75 vband for the fourth time!

2) please show me proof that I told you I would take care of the o2 bung? now we are lying?
3) You only mentioned that the downpipe should be cut because I would save on shipping. NOT THAT I COULD NOT INSTALL IT!.
I asked and asked what the new material would cost and you NEVER said one word!
Please attach a picture of the so said statement, I have.
4)most Professionals have a Jig, this is not my fault, as you are the pro at making manifolds.
5)I hope this brings people to see what they will have to deal with if they decide to have you do work for them without a Jig or a Mock car.
Obviously he is not willing to do anything else and I'm out of $1700 plus.
your are on the forum, you advertise on here, people deserve to know how you treat customers.
Yes its my fault for being a dumb ass trusting you. I was played to thinking everything would work Like you said.
