Yes, he is here as a representative for the company, but try and be diligent with this gentleman as he seems more than willing to rectify the situation. But only time will tell and I know that (as mentioned numerous times before) forum members are immensley protective of their own and have also been cheated out of thousands of dollars, hence being a bit more weary of new comers than most

And as he said, if you bought the hood both before the company seemingly went through revamp in both customer service and quality control, this gentleman's hands is somewhat tied

Regardless, can you show us a reciept of when you bought the hood and documenantation showing your complaints, etc?? Also, documentation of how long you had the hood?? I personally would love to see this (I am NOT discrediting you at this point. I just believe in facts and proof and not just internet hearsay)

You simply cannot justify (in my eyes) what happened 1-2 years ago as current FACTS........

However, I DO agree with a majority of what Cliff has stated, and I for one would love to see a current finished product of the hood before passing judgement myself

Good luck to all.

i have nothing to prove to u if you want a hood then buy one, when it doesnt fit then dont cry about there service when youare ignored after you fill out there return form and nothing happens but gl wit that.

(Don't respond to this piece of my response, I'm not done yet... [YES THAT MEANS KEEP READING])

As I stated directly above your quoted response, the original pictures don't show the extent of the issue at hand. Some blurry pictures and whatnot are NOT what you'd want to admit into evidence if you caught a guy murdering a homeless dude on the street, right? (I'm still not done yet... keep reading)

I appreciate this as well. As before, I have no vested interest in the group buy. I sincerely admire his input, although at times a bit... testy.

There's NOTHING wrong with looking out for one another. The only issue I have is his disregard for internet etiquette at some times. There are some underlying reasons, most of which you could search on your own time. That being said, I'm starting to become a bit wary of the group buy, myself...

Thank you a million times over for posting high resolution (clear) photographs. These speak volumes over your initial evidence. Now that the hood was cleaned, we can all obviously see for ourselves that the hood is in excellent condition in terms of normal wear and tear; gives to reason that the hood has several manufacturer's defects.

Now with all of that out of the way.

Carbon Creations:

Let me start by saying that there's no real need to slander a company based on previous experiences, especially considering that one member has had issue. This also applies to the representative of the company promoting their product here. There's no need to call a member of the community "child like" or any variation of the implied term. You have a business to run, and we have a community to support. In order for this to function, both sides must come to an agreement.

I'm very close to denying any further action in the group-buy thread. To be completely honest, a show of good faith isn't enough here. Until the community-at-large sees that the product intended for OUR platform (and not a Cobalt SS) has high quality fit and finish, most will be skeptical and this will carry with them into the future. You obviously deal in volume judging from the size of your warehouse, so a niche community wouldn't hurt your bottom line. It would however be detrimental should many from this community take their words of wisdom to other communities with displeasure of business dealings.

7 times out of ten, these cars are hobbies to folks.

This means that they likely drive a different model Nissan, or drive a different make all together. The potential outreach is in the thousands, honestly.

In closing, I strongly encourage you to do whatever you can for the OP with damaged goods, but understand that sometimes miracles just don't happen. It sucks that there's potential for yet another manufacturer to be shunned away from the market, but I'm sure you'd understand if you were in the shoes of most here. Quality over quantity, every time.

You have obviously missed about 4-5 times where the OP stated that he's been trying to correct this for the past year

I hope that if this company makes it up to him, because like Cliff said it could not only burn a bridge in our community but it can affect other ones as well if word gets out. That hood is a joke and I would be irate as well if that had shown up to my door

Honestly, I don't think a proof of purchase really matters at this point. You can CLEARLY see that the hood is in great condition, and hasn't seen much sunlight (as gelcoat will yellow with full sun in about a year without protecting it) since purchased. I wouldn't put it any older than about 15-18 months. Even ED/CC has come online and stated that they haven't used that plaque in at least a year if not longer. We obviously agree that it's not something recently purchased.

I'd rack it up as a pissed off customer that didn't get a refund/exchange, and wasted money on a hood he had every intention of using. Now it sits in a closet/storage/wherever because he wouldn't even be able to sell it for anything worth recovering his costs (unless someone that purchases it has every intention of bodymatching and fiberfill).

Cliff (and everyone else), the bases as to why I asked for a receipt (and history of complaint and denial of support of the preoduct) is NOT for proof of purchase but just to show the audience the unscrupulous business practice carried out by the company in question AND to build a case for Cherry for subsequent complaints.

At the end of the day, Cherry, all I am saying is provide some proof of purchase, history, etc in order to build and support your case so the gentleman has something to support you with IF he does decide to help and go forth in arguing your case to the company in question.

Again, this is not to DISCREDIT you Cherry, just to help build a strong case giving some well deserved leverage.

That is the main point I was trying to bring across.................

Now that Seibon makes a hood and trunk for us, why anyone would go anywhere else is beyond me.

I have two hoods and a trunk from the Seibon GB. Flawless. Like freaking car jewelery.

Are you in Customer Service? You do NOT get to determine who gets to be helped by their attitude. It does NOT work that way. You help all your customers. Even the most pig-headed, hard-to-deal-with, obstinate, stubborn and childish customers. And you sure as fuck do NOT call them childish, no matter their understandably irate behavior.

Nor does it matter if you enjoy it or not. It is your damn job son. You don't enjoy it, get a different job. When you are in Customer Service, you are supposed to effectively deal with, and resolve situations with, your unhappy customers. That is thee entire point of Customer Service. To turn around unsatisfactory transactions and unhappy customers.

You think you get to pick and choose who gets helped? You only want to hear from the Customer that got fucked but still calls you in a happy, tactful and civilized fashion? Are you delusional?

All you had to do was say...."WTF?!?...Let me make that right for you Cherry Love." Which you could easily do, at nearly no cost IF the GB goes through.

Explain that you are now fixing Customer Service, and go talk to the Owner. Tell him what is up. A GB and a chunk of your very company credibility hanging in the balance. You guys already have a clean hood and trunk to work with from the photos in the GB thread. Produce one hood. A perfect one. And post high-res photos. Send that perfect hood to Cherry Love. Free of charge. With a fucking apology. Tell him to keep the shit-hood for whatever purpose he wants.

Now, WE the SR20 community have seen a prime example of your current work. Proof in that pudding, with high res photos.

Now, YOU have stepped up your Customer Service. Actually walking the walk.

Now WE have faith in both your product and your company.

Now YOU sell 30-40 more pieces of your CF product.

Otherwise....did I mention how fucking perfect my Seibon hoods and trunk look?

Worst case scenario financially, you fix the problem with Cherry Love as described, and then the GB fails. You are out the cost on a hood plus shipping, but you have proved you are a stand-up company and at least tried to make it right. Better late than never. Nobody could bad-mouth you over that.

How much is your reputation alone worth?

This is a no-brainer to me. Go see if your Owner has a brain.
