Ive looked at alot of sr20 cars over the years and found a few verly clean ones for friends, the cleanest of them being ones I bought for my self.

First tging id do when I look at a sr20 car a 30 sec look around the car, dents, bondo rust I instantly turn to the seller and say thanks for your time and leave.

If the outside is clean, I ask them to pop the trunk, pull out a flat head and a philips and pull the covers off the struts. If its clean I get on my hands and knees and look under and in the rear wheel wells. Then look under the whole car. Then pop the hood, then interior.

If all that checks out I take the car for a ride.

People really need to look at what theyre buying

Ive spent countless hours and money on gas driving to look at cars that turn out to be shit bombs.

I feel bad for the op for being had. He should have walked away from the car, the hotel and flight back was less of a loss then buying a rusted car

Have u read the whole thread, sounds like not or ud know. Not everyone knows who has owned what cars on here. The seller lied and that guy flew all the way out there to fly home would almost be a grand, that's 1500 total if not bought because he was lied to. Both ways fucked up. If u were told a car had no rust paid 700 for 1 way ticket then found its a shitbox, ud be pissed to spend another 700 to fly home. I know I would.

Danfifteen, I dont car if I paid 2 grand to get to a car. If it was a piece of shit id rather take the loss on my ,istake then take the loss and buy the car.

What don't u get he flew way the fuck out there for a lying scumbag. I like many don't have the money to waste on such things, hence why I only buy if I can drive to there. I personally don't.think he should of bought it, is get a greyhound ticket home but he made his own decision. Thing is its not his mistake he was lied to about.the car by a pos. And luckily its a pos that's no longer here. I love everyone who acts all high and mighty on this forum saying shit like they are perfect. The only one perfect person I agree with on this forum is shawn b. I used to think he was a ass, but urs one of the most intelegent people on here. He doesn't talk shit about people but is good saying the facts, I wish I could speak like him, but I can't. I never talk crap about other peoples cars, I think I have only once, yet people seem to think its ok to bash people or their cars on here. Pbnj I have vvl stickers and Chrome rims so.that makes my car a pos according to a few of u on here. But u know what, I dont care I build my car for me. Those of u on here with these bad ass attitudes who think u and ur cars are hot shit touched by god gives u the right to belittle other people can go somewhere else. I miss the days where people kept their mouths shut and didnt make fun of other peoples cars, it really hurts some people. Same goes for talking shit for someone who bought a car that wasn't as advertised, he took it for a reason was his and his alones decision, not his fault he's not all mighty and search Davy to know previous owners details.

But to be lied to and waste that much money, that's the real issue. People need to stop lying, stop bashing, and keep that shit to themselves. My car has Chrome sel rims and vvl stickers, do u like it? No, well fuck off I didn't build it for u, I built it for me and my taste. Just because were online don't give u a right to judge people like half of u guys do. Guys will say I went overboard here, and I don't care because there are a lot of people who join this forum and get scared away because of the way some act. The only people I respect on here when they say stuff about me are my deep buddies, Ben, josh, eric, because I know them in person unlike the rest who hids behind their monitors flinging crap.

Iwannagofast, I'm sorry u got taken by a pos, u made a decison, and compared to what others say at least u made it for urself, I hope everything works out. And I can't wait for my mirrors from ya. I have to agree with strat on this. This situation would have been different if he would have paid for the car entirely(like on EBAY). The seller even told him on the way to get the car that he had found a small spot of rust on the car. It seemed that the buyer was more pissed about the axles ripping than the rust/body damage. I am not saying in any words that this excuses the Seller from lying like he did and straight up ripping someone off, BUT the buyer should have looked closer when buying a USED car.


Also, people on this forum have a tendency to hop on the bandwagon and go on a witch hunt with out getting all of the facts straight. Talking shit and spewing drama only adds to the situation and makes it 10 times worse, especially coming from people that have no idea or and no way shape or form connected to the sale.

I agree with Stratton too, I looked at 45 plus cars before I bought mine.

I would love to hear the comments of the more recent posters in here in regards to Benito and this clown shoe wearing guy.

I would be upset at being lied to prior to making any travel plans, not bought the car, and drove home or flew home whenever later. I surely would have never bought it, but been angry that I was outright lied to before anything else transpired.

The axles coming out is a true statement of a poor mechanic, or shit-faced while working on the car.

Stratton seems to understand that everyone will lie to you just to sell you the car in question and expects to come home empty handed. And I am turning that way now. I used to be optimisitc as hell but every time I drive hundreds of miles to check out a car where I was lied to, I just drive home, disgusted with humanity and the inabilities to open there gawd damned eyes (thanks Shawn B) for 60 seconds to walk around a car.

Dan, people lie, they all do and all will just to get your money. I think that is the huge difference here. I have spent money on traveling to see a great car that was a POS. It happens, I have done it at least a dozen times so far.
