granted he did a terrible job packaging it. im sure its worse then he would have forseen.

but he did say he'd help cover some of the damages, lets as a community learn from our past mistakes.

lets give this man a chance to due right and show he is willing to work things out in posative manner that will help chapnutz repair the head.

i know all to well getting lowballed. at some point your just like fuck it, wich is not the attitude to have by anymeans. thats why i give my best price and rarely budge from there, if you dont want it for my price, thats fine ill sit on it forever or better yet ill throw it in a dumpster. still ABSOLUTELY no exscuse for piss poor shipping.

i think this community should give him a chance first before black balling him and jumping down his neck. he said hes gonna do right by this big mistake, lets see if he does.

stratton.

1) I agreed 100% with Mirrortints. Everything he stated, agreed.

2) Packing materials are cheap and plentiful. NO excuse not to use them in appropriate quantities to make sure the package arrives safely.

I shipped some fucking window-trim to Wnright. It was about 15-bucks worth of trim from a scrapyard. Ask him how well packed that shit was. The shipping company was NOT fucking up that trim (hard to find, no matter how cheap at the junkyard), and it was going to arrive in perfect shape. I cut wood reinforcement slats to 2" longer than the trim, wrapped the trim in paper, then taped the trim to the wood, and then stuffed it into cardboard shipping tubes with a ton of packing material.

YOU agred to the price "shipped".

That means you "eat" the cost of PROPER SHIPPING. It is INCLUDED in the price.

YOU are the SELLER. The SELLER is responsible for proper packaging and insurance.

YOU agreed to a "shipped price", that means YOU are responsible for proper, correct, safe shipping and packaging. NO matter what it costs, it is included in the agreed-upon price.

See, that is an issue. You don't give a shit about this community. If I had an issue with a reputable member, I would FIX THIS ISSUE, no matter the cost, to maintain my reputation on this forum. I am INVESTED in this community. NO FUCKING WAY I would sell my reputation as "a guy you can do business with on a handshake", over $400 to $500 bucks. No way no how.

I wouldn't either if I was clearly in the wrong and too cheap to fix my mistake.

It does NOT matter how you recieved it.

What matters is that YOU agreed to a "shipped price."

Therefore YOU agreed to "invest" part of YOUR profit from the sale into proper shipping. Period.

If you do not know the "risk of shipping" then YOU have NO BUSINESS selling anything to anyone.

You are both delusional and in denial.

A "shipped price" does NOT mean "scrimp and cheap-out" on the shipping.

Chapnutz did not "give you" anything to ship the head. YOU AGREED TO A SHIPPED PRICE.

NO it is NOT "20-dollars going towards shipping."

Shipped price....

Stratton, you have some very good points as a voice of reason.

I do agree with you Stratton, but if I didn't start this thread he wouldn't have even stated that he would "help" get it fixed...on the other hand, keep as much of that $480 I sent, don't want your help, only cause when I asked for
a refund he said "no" not we can work something out, I'll help take care of it, NOTHING, so his help is not wanted from me, but he can help me by using this as future knowledge when shipping to anyone in the community
