No questions asked. WTF chap!?! Bent bolts? I mean, that distributor/cam cap is insane. Seriously?!

Full refund should be given.

Everybody with common sense knows shipping companies ain't treating your ish like fine china.

All of this, emphasis on that last statement.

The shipping companies are not only NOT treating your shit like fine china, they ARE going to manhandle it, toss it, throw it, drop it, kick it, shove it and not give a flying rats ass. Duh.

Proper shipping supplies are NOT that expensive. Proper packing is not rocket-science.

U-haul, Lowe's, Home Depot, Office Max/Depot and Walmart ALL sell packing supplies.

All of which are cheap compared to the price of ruined car-parts.

dave if you used paypal put a claim in, 'not as described/damaged'...

i told him i was posting pics and a bad report, he obviously wont be posting...we'll have to see i guess.

Here is what I sent him quoted...

Here are a bunch of photos of the block and also the plastic bin it was shipped it, the places on the inside of the plastic bin where the block surface wore through and got damaged you can easily see. Which caused the damage to the cylinder deck, paper does not prevent that type of damage. Next week I'll take my block to the machine shop and see what they'll charge me, if you feel life helping me out and coming good on this, LMK. I'm pretty reasonable. Just cost of fixing the parts of the deck that are damaged, not the total amount for resurface etc.

I'll give him a week to come up with a response, dude takes forever to respond to any PMs, yet logs in every 4 hrs or so and makes a post. I'll get the name of the shop posted and see if someone knows about it in Pheonix. I'd really like to just call up the shop and talk to some and see what happened. I did pay via paypal and have already taken photos so we'll see what happens. I'd really like to just have him pay for the repairs to the cylinder block.

He's saying with the shipping supplies being readily available people should have no excuse for not using it.

Not really sure. Did you even try to work it out with the seller yet?

As far as feedback, did you lead feedback based on the deal thread, or this thread?

Most people just want your money and dont care.

I spend alot of time packing a VE head. I ship these heads about once every 2 months and never had any problems.

I am a little cheap so I go dumpster diving for packing material and I use alot of it. You can drop my boxes hard an nothing will happen

just curioius what did you spend on the head ?

did you request insurance on the shipping ? thats your responsibility. if so contact ups and ask them what they are going to do for you.

either way the seller owes you 100 dollar for repairs to the head.

piss poor job of shipping/packing.

ive sent parts all over the country, trannys to cali, motors to st martinique (island in the bahamas) im in the proccess of sending a header to guam. ive never once had some one complain about my packaging methods.

some one needs to make a sticky the proper way to ship in the f/s section maybe.

stratton.

thats cause you're the man Miko!!!

Stratton...I asked if he pit insurance on it and all he said was you have to open it in front of them in order to make a claim...I called fedex and they said the shipper has to make the claim, the person on the phone pushed it to escalations and they are supposed to call me back within 72hrs, we'll see what happens

I've sent a PM to him, and CC'd other moderators and the forum's administrators. We'll see where it goes. Looks like we may have another deadbeat seller added to the blacklist and banned from the forum...
