also...I have asked many times, others have asked...but you have never answered...

Why did the turbo you sold me come in a kinetic motor sports box? Why was that box marked with a kinetic motor sports part number? Why did that part number match a NON GARRETT center section turbo?

FYI, I cleaned the thread up. Please only post if you have directly dealt with SBR, not to jump in and stir up ****.

I've personally dealt with SBR, got my parts within a week or two, no problem what-so-ever.

Slow boy racing has refused to answer my above question via this thread or pm. The reason behind that decision is unknown to me, i would assume there would be an explanation but evidently there is not. I am done with this thread. So, sr20 community, I have provided you with the FACTS of my transaction with sbr. Please read through the thread and draw your own conclusions. I have came to mine, never to use or recommend sbr to anyone ever again.

I didn't say to stay out of the thread, but as long as he has an answer that is ok, I will be closing this thread and people can feel free to open a new thread, good or bad.

"I have been advised by the mods to stay out of the thread so I am. I have told you repeatedly that it is a Garrett center section. It says it on our site and anything I say wont please you so end of story."

If you look at the second picture down, there is an "A" cast into the housing. That is for airesearch which signifies that it is a Garrett center section. The compressor housing does look like a cheap xs power knock-off though.

From the looks of it, it looks like a rebuilt turbo that was pieced together.

The compressor is a custom housing that is made for our SBR series turbos. The Exhaust side is a turbonetics hence the T stamped in to the housing. Its not a rebuilt turbo though. If it was we would not offer the 1 year warranty.

If the center section is Garrett. Then the turbo is a Garrett.

The housings have nothing to do with it.

Turbonetics rear housing and a Garrett housing are the same. Turbonetics just has a diffrent company do the housings as the costs are cheaper to them.

The front housing, I have no idea what it is but if it is fit to the turbo and the clearances are ok then I dont see a problem.

The working part of the turbo is the CHRA or center section and it is Garrett so.

Now as long as this stuff is not some knock of stuff I dont see a problem
