Mapping a de mafto n60?
Hey Calum.

Well I really want to get my n60 maf in the car. Any way I could convince you to help me port my current tune to work with the n60 maf?

Let me know what needs to be done. If it is straight forward I might be able to handle it myself?

When you have time my friend...

Bump, so what do I need to do Calum? Would you prefer I just send you the bin via email?

Thanks.

So here's all you need to change mafs-

-Change VQ table to new maf
-Change k-value for new maf
-Optional- change low maf voltage enrichment point (I don't usually change this)

So changing the VQ table is easy, just find a bin that already using the maf you want to use and copy it. If you can't find one just ask and I'll post one.

Changing the k-value to suit is tougher, you have to have some experience with the maf or you have to just work this out on the car. Or you can take a working bin with the maf thats already using the maf you want to use but different injectors and just calculate the k-value. If you don't know it, the formula for that is-

(old injector size/new injector size) x old_K = new_K

Bin posted in the ROM section btw-

http://www.sr20forum.com/rom-ecu-tuning-file-exchange/237276-request-b13-ve-ve-inj-n60-maf.html#post2327333

So to convert your bin just cut and paste the VQ table, then copy the k-value. If you don't know- cut and pasting in TunerPro is dead easy. Just set your compare to the bin you want to copy from, open the VQ table, hit compare, then click a cell, ctrl+a, go to the original, click the top cell, then ctrl+c. Its just like excel.

Calum you da man!

I'll give this all a try, doesn't sound like anything I cannot handle.

Thanks a million as always!

Ok Calum.

So I finally got around to drilling and threading the pop charger today.

I got the maf all hooked up and the bin loaded, car started but would only rev to 2.5 grand.

So i took my wiring apart and had my 0-5v hooked to the ground

Fixed it, and started the car. Started great, and rev'd fine now. Soon did i realize my afr's were in the 18's at idle and up! Good thing I had the wideband!

So I decided to play around with the k value, which also gave me an opportunity to use rt pro and the live update feature which worked quite well. I bumped up the k value until my idle was around where it used to be..14+-

Car runs great, wot runs about 12.7ish so it needs to be street tuned again, but it feels really nice.

The only problems I had were after driving 45min tonight back to my dorm, my idle was jumping quite a bit more then it has before. (150rpm increments, "bouncing")

Any idea on what to look into to smooth it out? It was fine at stop lights but the one time i let it idle down it was jumpy. (it was solid before hand)

Other then that, its going great. I swear it feels better to me all throughout, but who knows

Thanks again!

Where did you end up setting the k-val?

Let it self-learn and see if the idle corrects. Also, whats your maf voltage like at idle? If its dropping below the maf enrichment trigger it will make your idle funky.
