Calum ECU and Boost?
Hi Calum,

Can you do a basic ecu for a boosted Sr20de? Say 550cc injectors? Is it practical?

I know a RT would be better but...

Can you shed some light on this matter? Comments from other members (with experience), also welcome.

Thanks.

Peace

Really? Seriously?

Calum sells hardware... you can tune the ecu to run whatever you want. Realtime, basic doesn't change what you can run.

I know that but would want to know if he is willing to do a basic tune for the basic or even for the RT if I tell him the set up.

Not experienced in tuning.

Peace

his tunes are usually very very close and for the most part conservative. If you really plan to make some good power and have absolutely excellent driveability on the car and best gas milage then get the realtime hands down. His basic tunes are still pretty damn good. Hell i have a basic tune for my 60 trim, fully built, 720cc injector, z32 maf setup and after tinkering with some stuff and fuel pressure i put down 461whp,391wtq on 24psi, much much more to come once i do some fine tuning. But ill be getting the realtime as well being my partial throttle runs really really rich. So lots more to come from my setup.

Are the basic ECUs plug and play? meaning, you get your car built, plug in the ecu, and fire it up, no tune required. is that correct? I recently bought a basic ecu from erick, and he hasn't answered my questions.
