i fully understand that, but hobby or not, those of you who have bought his product are entitled to have your questions answers in a timely manner. i have already wasted my money on JWT products but they did come with great customer service. i like to support the little guy and i love the innovations and interest calum puts in to products for our cars. all im saying is, get to us a little bit quicker cuz there are questions im sure he is the most qualified to answer since he makes the product.

With attitudes like that, is it shocking that anyone would build products for our cars? I am a longtime, loyal Jim Wolf customer, but the reality is that I have had to wait months to get back an ecu. Knowing Calum personally, he gets hundreds of calls every week on how to set up your car. Like Tekkie said, Calum is merely providing you the opportunity to tune your car. It is up to you to do the work.

We, as a community, are the "side jobs" for anyone willing to build stuff for our platform. Enjoy it while you can.

That's why we have a forum. Ask a question, and I'm sure someone else here with his product has had the same issue, and can answer it for you...

Patience is a virtue. For all we know, Calum could be going thru some serious issues, or he's swamped with a real life project that work has him doing.

i really want to send him my ecu, but how can i do that if i dont know how long the turn around time will be. i know there are many knowledgeable people on this forum that can help with certain questions and issues but as we all know there are things only he can answer such as "how long will it take to get it back?". im not bagging on calum cuz his product is all over the forum and the quality of his product can be seen everywhere. all im saying timely responses would be greatly appreciated and im sure many of calums customers would agree.

OK, I spoke with Calum on the phone yesterday, and this is my first chance to get online since.

He is taking some time off to deal with a family matter. He asked me to pass on that he is still not taking in any new orders, this may last for another couple weeks, it might last for another month. He will post up when he can start taking in new business.

Rest assured that he will be back as soon as he can be, and that is really all I can post up for now. If you are a close friend and need more info, pm me. Thanks to everyone else in advance for being patient.

You know you guys could have someone else tune your ecu's right? An ENTIRE group of people on this forum can't all possibly rely one one person to all get their tuning done. There's plenty of places around the US who could do it. Off the top of my head there's Technosquare. Try bothering them as I wouldn't want to be bothered by everyone like Calum.

he doesnt tune them, he puts daughter boards in them.. real time and basic.. he usualy will put a stock tune on it for ya tho.. there are other daugher boards out there.. but not many.. in the usa our options are basicly calum, jwt and nistune, myself i prefer the calum ecu's and plan to upgrade to a real time soon.

I'm just about ready to send my ecu, awaiting the green light for the goahead, would suck to have a ve in my car and not be able to drive it because of the ecu holdup - that in mind, I hope the family issue gets resolved in the best way possible in a difficult situation.
