My todo list:

Mount/balance new tires
Throw track box in trunk (has pads, oil, filter, fluids, basic tools)

Drive :P

PS. I'll split a room with whoever, I don't snore if it helps, ha ha.

Didnt realize the hotel was 1 hour 45 minutes from drag strip! Friday and Saturday will be some hell of driving.

Is there anymore info on the drag day? @OptimumSE-R

The reason we picked that hotel in Palmdale is because it best suited us as a whole. Famoso Raceway is the only 1/4 mile race track open within 6 hours or so. It is a bit of a stretch but see it this way... We get a better deal at a hotel which is listed in my 1st post. Not only that but a lot of us are burned out after the road course so we prefer to go shower, kick a few beers and rest up as opposed to driving to another hotel near famoso which would be almost a 2 hour drive after the track. I hope people don't get discouraged by this. It just makes more sense for us to rest up a little bit and drive out in the morning. Regardless, it will be fun as hell!

As for info on the drag day, I am waiting for a confirmation from Famoso Raceway. I've left numerous voicemails and sent a couple of emails. I will be contacting them every day from now on. The dates are secured but I want to figure out the exact details. Sorry for the delay.

The drive isn't bad at all, it's actually pretty cool drive. You will drive thru the flat high deserts in to mountains and finally into a green valley of orchards. - Lets just hope it doesn't snow

I suppose you are talking about Highway 58.. It's a nice scenic drive.

Also, I've received several pm's with people offering their help. Thank you guys very much. I'll be sure to contact you guys soon. We had a very productive meeting tonight discussing the convention. We are very excited for this and hope you guys are as well!

Oh the drive time isnt going to discourage me one bit. Especially cruising all up together will be pretty damn rad. The late night Friday night beer sessions sound almost better then the races themselves. Hahacant wait for the first!
