Was able to run a best of 14.80 @ 95.75 on my last pass, clutch was slipping in between shifts. This was after I struggled all day with wheel hop and shitty 60' times. I stiffened the suspension then decided to heat up the tires and was able to pull back to back 14.8's @ 95.XX. The 60's are still crappy with a best of 2.37, so I know if I get a new clutch I should be able to drop my times a couple .10's of a second. I guess this isn't bad on stock cams right?

btw, we had a moderate cross-wind all day which didn't really help. There were 3 run groups plus an "X" group. So by the end of the day the runs were coming quick...ended up running a total of 7 times and had a chance to run an 8th time but I didn't like the way my clutch was slipping on the last run which actually was the best run.

nice runs on a crapped out clutch. You should see more than .10 difference with a good clutch.

Yeah definitely for a healthy ve you should be trapping closer to 100mph even in a full weight b14. A slipping clutch will kill your times and mph. Not bad though. Just takes practice. Get a good clutch and get back out there.

To give you an example my first b13 se-r with a 155whp DE full weight other than no jack or spare tire in the trunk, ABS, Sunroof, 91 b13 went 14.3@97mph on street tires. 2.1 60's. Im sure your b14 cant be much heavier than my b13 was. I can bet you that slipping clutch is absolutely killing you.

lol. Robert was texting me the whole time while he was there. I got instant updates from him and helped him a little with his wheelhop issues

did you tell him to let the air out of those 17" rims he has on the car?

No, he was on his SE-L's with rt-615's. I suggested to him that he stiffen up his suspension and it worked him wonders

What did you have on the de that you were making 155whp?

jdm 9.5:1 de, JWT S3 cams, UR pullies, Jun ultralightweight flywheel, Short ram intake w/ jwt pop charger, SSAC 2 1/4" header, 2 1/2" exhaust w/ gutted cat, timing at 19*, Spec stage 5 clutch, and no A/C compressor or lines in the bay. 155whp 138wtq on a dynojet.

Times and trap speeds prove the whp. No doubt there. Every run was in the 14.3 to 14.4 range at 96-97mph.

What ecu were you on? my b14 has pretty much the same setup on a jwt ecu besides the clutch (jwt pp),cams (s4's),timing (15*),intake aem cai), and a/c stuff (everything there) Barney only put down 148whp and 125tq. I gotta admit, im a bit jealous of all the different setups you've tried
