They're like $10. Easy fix.

Or $2 entry fee at the junkyard since they fit in your pocket. ;-)

yeah mine has the battery mount, it fits my optima just fine. I just don't have a tie down, would the officials make a big deal about it?

No, they won't. I've ran mine that way at least 5 times since I've had an Optima and at least another 5 before that at Pomona back in day. If they see that's it's the original OEM mount, they won't sweat you. They'll usually will put a hand on your battery and see if it will move.

Ohh i see, well if i put enough force into it, I can make my battery move. I hope they dont push too hard

wtf, i did an oil change today and notice I had an oil leak, and a tranny leak
didn't have enough time to see where they were coming from so I don't think i'm going to make this one because i don't have the time right now to fix it. I also forgot my cousin is having a halloween party on friday night and I plan on having a good time next one for sure

That sucks bro. Did you change your main seals when you first got the motor or when you had it out last time?

I sure didn't:o i'm pretty sure the oil leak is coming from the crankshaft seal but i replaced it when I installed the Gspec pulley so i might have to get another seal from greg. As far as the trans leak i'm stumped, I always had a small leak but last week I replaced the control rod seal which i thought was the problem but its still leaking. I also replaced both axle seals about a year ago but i see no oil coming from them. Only thing i can see is the oil dripping(real slow) at the very bottom of the tranny housing.

Did you change the rear main seal? It could be leaking, and if it is it would be in that area.

I don't think it's the rear main seal because then it would be oil leaking and not tranny oil.I use royal purple so I would be able to tell a difference and I can also sometimes smell that distinct smell that gear oil has. I just hope that it is something small and easy to fix.
