I guess the OEM powdercoating isn't that good? Or do they use paint?

honestly i believe the oem stuffs just paint, but it shoudlnt of got so easily damaged.. arent the inductive clamp plastic?? all the ones i've seen were..

Damn that sucks Krist. I too have a small chip on my valve cover. You can't tell until you actually look at it.
