See what you can do. I think I am going with 900 rear springs so valving will need to match. I race a lot at Atlanta, savannah, and barber.

I'm still a noob with Koni products, so I may not be the best person to give you advice on which inserts to choose, but I do know the 8611 are double adjustable, and better suited for track use. If you're looking for the 8611 insert that's dimensionally the same as the ones I have on the rear, its part # 8611-1262 Race (however, all the dimensions of 8611-1259 Race are the same...not sure what's different between the two).

More info on page 13: http://www.koni-na.com/pdf/KONI_Motorsports_2008.pdf

Edit: If I would have actually read the catalog, I'd see that the 1262 insert is made for higher spring rates

Just got word from Koni that the 8611-1262 are no longer available, they only did one run on those and it catered to a very few people. They are recommending going with an off the shelf insert, and getting them revalved later if they run out of rebound range.

The 8611-1259 do they use an allen key to adjust at the bottom?

Pages 33 (in the PDF) and onward detail how almost every series of damper is adjusted. I am sure the 8610/8611 are listed. It begins to list how the dampers are adjusted underneath the bump stops.

It doesn't say specifically...it lists the 8610 on pg.35 and shows top adjustment (not needed to remove)...and no mention of a bottom adjustment that I could find.
