front spindle differences
Does anybody know what the actual differences are between the B13 and B15 front spindles and hubs?
I know the lug pattern is 4x114 not 4x100,but other than that what are the differences(if any)?
For example:Are the wheel bearings any bigger/beefier on the B15 vs. B13?

Thanks ,any info regarding this would be greatly appreciated

The b15 hubs use a different bearing from the b13/14. The only thing they have in common is how they mount to the car, this is why the b15 hubs bolt into our cars. The brakes cal. mounts are different and the tie rod mounts are at a different angle. This is not big deal just use the spec v brakes, they are huge and stop my b13 on a dime. My car was toe out after install and an alignment corrected that.
Making the b15 hub and spindle work is not that hard. Machine the hubs and rotors to 4/100 if you want to run b14 wheels or just run b15 wheels. The center bore of the hub is larger then our cars so I also had to machines my b14 wheels to fit on the front. At the time I was pissed I spent the money on the 6spd swap but it's worth it now. I tortcher this trans on boost using no lift shift and slamming it into gear with no grinds, misses or breaking.

^that about sums it up.

only thing i would add, is the b15 spindles allow you to bolt on z32 brakes.

Thanks for the info guys.
I was aware of the z32 brakes and b15 brembos bolting up.....and I had a feeling the bearings were bigger.
I didnt know about the center bore being different,or the tie rod angles. Thats exactly the kind of info I was looking for
I am not as concerned with the wheel fitment /lug pattern.....what is the hub bore on b15 anyway?

I beieve the splines are the same so B13 /b14 axles should work fine. Its just the bearing itself thats bigger....unless someone can confirm differently.

If you plan on running b15 spindles with the stock trans/axles then use parts from the b15 2.0l or 1.8l. They use the same spline/ axle size as the stock b13/14. If you are going to run a 6spd then you need spec v/2.5l spindles and hubs due to a diff. spline/axle size.

As for the brake the spec v brakes are huge compared to b13/14 parts, but the brembros that came on the track edition spec v are supposed to be amazing.

@se200 thanks alot man. I am looking at a car thats already swapped to B15 hubs.spindles...this is why I am asking. Just trying to see what I am up against in the future with this setup.
The trans in it is still 5 speed ,but its good to know what is needed to upgrade to six speed later.

Bore size should be 66.1mm
