It looks like it's glued on (epoxy?)...there doesn't appear to be any spot welds on top or underneath. As far as I can tell, it serves no purpose....even on my bone stock '92 NX...has the same bracket with nothing in it...that would be in the way if I tried to mount a camber plate on it.

Then by all means remove it with whatever tool you see fit

Which brings us back around to my first question about mounting these on a B13:

...bracket can be seen below, at the edge of the strut bar mounting bracket.

I am more interested in how other B13 owners have removed this bracket...methods and results would be a nice, positive addition to the thread as well. I've read about this setup for a long time...and recently picked up a nice Shigspeed setup that was used on a B13...but I've never heard that removing this bracket (useless or otherwise) would be a requirement for the B13.

If I had one car and wanted to plan this install out, I would much rather prefer to have some prep time to remove the bracket **which would not require strut removal** than to start installing this involved setup (and you know you woulda done the driver's side first and had it all buttoned up!) and when you mount the passenger side you realize you gotta take it off...yada yada yada

i use cusco plates so no help here. Scott Higashi is on the B13 group on facebook though, just saw him post. Maybe try him and see what he says.

I'm actually NOT on Facebook...I'm one of those 'paranoid of my info' guys...the Cuscos mount from underneath?

That they do. Let me see if I can find him and ask.

I did manage to find a link in the suspension thread to Higashi's ShigSpeed install that stated the following:

"The power steering sensor has a bracket(at least on a '98) that interferes with the camber plate. I had to remove the bracket entirely, and have yet to find a decent replacement for that bracket. "

Although, there was no info about removing it...I'm assuming this is the same bracket but it may not be.
