Bostlee can you measure the whole tie rod, one end to another end? Also mind measuring the of the threaded part? Trying to see if it's M14 or M16

we used a fence pipe dead blow hammer and a pipe wrench.stuck the pipe through rod smack it in took the pipe wrench held pipe straight and popped it right out.if you are going to use this method after intstalling new one wiggle the pipe out dont hammer anything out.

I bought one of these for my B13:
Astro Pneumatic 7864 Inner Tie Rod Removal Set : Amazon.com : Automotive
Got it for $20 here, back in 2007, but they no longer have it:
Hydraulic Tools from Jack-X-Change.

Googled it, found it listed at these sites:

Vad here are the pictures you requested.

You are looking at:
- 11"/279.400 mm for the total length (excuse the primitive form of measurement)
- 1.148"/29.159 mm for the thread length

Total Length:

I think Vadim wanted the diameter of the shaft (14mm or 16mm) but I'm not sure which threaded end he wanted you to measure.

While you're at it, can you just head on down to the local Italian bakery and get me a few cannoli? I'll PM you my address.

Ahhhh make sense Ben!

How many cannolis you want?? I am not allowed to go back to the corner bakery for pastry (i.e. Cannoli theft) so I will have the GF ship them out stat.

Thanks man! Yeah thread size would be what I'm looking for, Keo and I have a dirty trick we want to try but not sure if it will work. Once I get the measurements I can start looking around for other tie rods
