Jim, exactly my point on it. That is why I won't touch Ksport, D2, BC or others. Even Tein SS are suspect for the B platform. CSK setups, Progress, Hotbit and so on do the homework.

Squirlz - I have a 0 mile hypercoGen2/AGX setup with brand new strut mounts/boots/koni bump stops and hardware. If he is serious about having a car that handles well that would do it. But it won't get him low enough I think so I didn't even offer it up.

Hands down best B13 dollar for dollar setup you can get IMO. This is why I own two setups of this combo. Match this with a FSTB and a sway bar and this setup should cover about 75% of the people on this board.

Dollar for dollar you are quite possibly correct. That set-up of Brents is exactly what I had, including the Koni bumpstops (Progress rear sway). Worked quite well, street and my one track excursion, if a bit harsh. Although on "harsh" keep in mind that I am an old fart, YMMV.

IIRC, around $440 for the AGX's on a GB, Hypercoils were 325'ish shipped, and the Koni bumps were 60'ish (?). OEM boots, new thrust washers, Superpro (Whiteline) caster bushings, yada, yada. It took me 18-months from the Hypercoils purchase, with them sitting on my steps in my house, until I had enough money to assemble the rest of the suspension and get it all installed.

Still glad I waited and did it the best I could afford at the time.

I will add that the CSK/Hyperco set-up, while certainly more pricey, is vastly superior. No question about it, far more comfortable, a bit better planted.

Has anyone here ever owned racelands? I have and honestly have zero complaints. They have great customer service and are comparble to ksports imo. I say go for it. Only thing i had to was was get stiffer spring rates which they didnt offer for my bmw. But it was stnced nd needed them. Slamming a car isnt going to give you the best ride, but if you wanted that buy a cadillac.

I hate these "slamming" debates. Not everyone wants a 1in drop.

Slamming a car is not safe, your car bounces down the road and you are loosing traction when you go over a bump, i do not want to be riding next to someone who has little control over their car. Plus it also wears other components that will have to be replaced sooner and often, not really saving money.

This guy has not responded anyway, he will do what he wants and when his junk breaks in a few months he wont have any money to fix it. Doing things the wrong way will not help anything, making something fit when there are plenty of other options out there is just plain stupid.

We have given him examples of what he could spend his money on, it is up to him to make that decision. Honestly i don't think he really cars about rid quality, or if he is gong to tear CVs up every 3 months as long as his car looks "dope".

At this point what i say is mute and not worth my time. Good luck no matter what you do.

A street-driven car with crude suspension geometry, limited tire clearance, and three inches of suspension travel isn't going to have a happy existance after $400 worth of slamming. Given the location of the lower oil pan, rod bearing #3 might ultimately be the least happy of all.
