Steering column adjustment help
Has anyone here enlarged the slot on the column to allow for a bit more height adjustment. Im 6'-6" and was going to do a smaller wheel on my B14 but decided I dont want to mess with taking away the airbag. Im pretty confident that making provisions for an extra .25 to .5" height wont affect the pionon angle in a bad way. Just wondering if anyone else has done this.

also is the adjuster removable because I have access to a mill if it is.
TY in advance

To answer my own question you bend the tab that keeps the lever from unscrewing. then you move the lever to the down position and carefully grind about 1/4" more of a slot with a Dremel and a small fluted bit. now i can heel toe and only if I'm sloppy does my knee hit the steering wheel. I've only had the car for 10 years and I'm just now doing this lol. Also i was going to do a little then try more but right now it sits just slightly NOT perpendicular to the ground (maybe 1deg.) and I cant stand driving with a wheel that's too far off from perpendicular so its going to stay where it is.
now with the wheel all the way up the bottom of the wheel is aligned with the top of the dash (before it was the top was aligned with the black part of the instrument cluster). TALL PEOPLE DO THIS MOD!

Or you can fit a buckseat, that'll get you sit lower and better car control as well!

Already did (corbeau fx1 with a homemade bracket) still 6'6" + size 14 was still a tight fit. This gave me that little bit extra. Before the seat there was 0 chance of me left foot braking or heel toe as i was spread eagle around the steering wheel
