Dampener

Damper

Dampen

Dampening

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, that is a huge peeve of mine also.

You can use what you want but some make you sound a bit goofier than others.

clearly there are more than one brand/type/style of single adjustable shocks/struts that have different rebound rates and selection amounts. From what i read (outside the "bible") there is a constant amount of both compression and rebound in single adjustables though not equal but still linear. Feel free to correct me if what i read and hear is wrong.

i definitely want to be able to control both rebound and compression. if it does nothing then so be it but i have a feeling it will help at least a little to be able to control both aspects.

have i read enough? .... never Am i still learning? ....always, hence the noob mistake of typing dampening but its what my auto correct put in. not saying i would have typed it correctly to begin with but just elaborating a bit because its such a pet peeve apparently of a few of you that ill try my best to keep on top of that.

as for "talkin shit" to you wnwright.. your first post in this thread wasn't helpful at all and therefore unnecessary. Also considering in my scenario it is what im looking for (meaning your wrong) then how was i out of line with a sarcastic response?

annnnnnnnnd go!

Complete and utter BS. You stated that you needed doubles to be able to adjust rebound. I stated that is not correct. I am 100% correct. You are trying to take my pointed comment out of context to "prove" me wrong.

Time to hand hold the child's hand:

Will doubles be better than singles? Yes IF you know the dynamics behind them and what the changes actually are. If not they will hurt you (you appear to fall into this category after hitting every branch on your fall out of the tree).

Do singles adjust rebound? As I already said... Yes. All of the strut offerings for B13 have almost no cross talk so you are making negligible changes to compression. This is almost universally true with very few exceptions (I know of a few, but they aren't common).

Are there any common off the shelf doubles? Not really

Where can you get doubles? Koni makes inserts, Bilstein makes inserts, there are several coil over companies listed in the sticky mentioned multiple times that could make them for you, etc.
