Celica Koni's on B13?
I was on the Grassroots Motorsports site and saw this post about B13's.

Anyone ever heard that double adjustable Koni's for a Celica will fit a B13?

The NX brakes are a good upgrade especially if you are replacing calipers anyway. A little grinding will get them to fit under the stock B13 wheels as well. If you ever want to get extended wheel studs ARP's for a Subaru will fit with a little massaging... and for some reason they are a third of the price of the Nissan ones (you will need new lug nuts). Also if you want to put double adjustable Koni's on it, the factory struts from 1980's Celicas are the correct diameter and have a Gland nut that will work. Camber plates from Ground control help with the lack of suspension travel when you lower the car because they change the mounting point up almost an inch.

Interesting. I hadn't heard that. I wonder if that person is recommending using the Celica struts with GC camber plates? Because that shouldn't work. Unless he/she runs coilover springs on OEM Celica strut housings?

I don't know, I was hoping someone had some more input. Maybe the Koni Celica dampers will work with our factory upper mounting plates and springs?

Our choice of dampers is pretty limited so it's nice when something "off the shelf" for another car will work.

I read somewhere that when the Datsun 510 first came out there were no after market shocks available, but some one discovered that shocks from a fifties Chevy Belair were the correct size for the rear of the 510. Since they were made for a much heavier car, they were great performance shocks on a 510. (by the standards back then, I guess)

I wonder if there is some place that lists all the Koni or Bilstein damper sizes, rates, travel, etc so you could compare. Then maybe work something out like the Datsun 510 guys did with the Chevy shocks.
