Hmmm. Had parts store camber bolts in the rear of my WRX without issue. That car saw countless launch control launches, at least 50 passes at the strip and 5-6 auto-crosses. I'm an uneducated fool I guess.

Agreed.I've got camber bolts in both holes on the front of my B14.Have had them there for 9 years, approx. 180-200 autocrosses and a couple of alignments per year.Never moved a mm. I must be lucky
Camber bolts are a poor design. They are smaller than the factory bolt wich makes them weaker. Enlongating the hole is the same thing, the wrong way to do it. Buy a set of GC plates and you have a very pecise way to cange camber and caster plus increse travel. Id like to see a camber bolt do that.
Its not my car, do what you wish.

I would recommend you get rid of those shitty springs and get something worth using (Road Magnet, or Hyperco). However, I've never known which camber plates fit which strut setups, so I can't help there. Hopefully someone else will confirm which plates work with stock-like struts.

I think the best thing to do unless you plan on doing it yourself is ask you alignment shop which they prefer. Alignment can be a tricky thing and every shop likes doing it a different way. Best to have the equipment they like to use then what everyone on a board likes to do. Unless someone on the board that is giving there .02 is going to help you.
Make sure the shop is someone with a good reputation that has worked on your car or a car like your's in the past. I'm sure the suggestions you get for that would be more helpful.
Again just .02

There is nothing wrong with using camber bolts . Although camber plates are better to adjust with with out removing the wheels. Personaly the ground control's are the BEST plates they make for the b13/b14 chassis . You get camber and caster adjustment and a extra 3/4 inch of lower with out loosing travel . But they are hard to find and usualy more money .
